The Federal Aviation Administration said it is reviewing an incident in which a Delta Air Lines flight performed a go-around at a Boston airport on Saturday after another plane began departing from a runway that intersected its path.
“The crew of Delta Air Lines Flight 2351 executed a go-around at Boston Logan International Airport because another aircraft was departing from an intersecting runway,” the FAA said in a statement shared with News Agency.
The agency added that it is investigating the episode, which took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, June 20.

A Delta spokesperson told News Agency that safety remains the airline’s top priority, saying the crew of Delta Flight 2351 followed standard procedures while coordinating with Air Traffic Control, conducted a go-around during the approach to Boston Logan, and later landed without incident.
According to Delta, the flight was traveling from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas to Boston Logan International Airport in Massachusetts with 129 passengers and six crew members on board.

During descent, onboard systems alerted the flight crew with an advisory regarding potential traffic, Delta explained, noting that the crew coordinated with air traffic control and carried out the go-around.
The airline indicated that its aircraft are outfitted with technology to alert crews to potential conflicts involving other aircraft.
The flight touched down safely, Delta noted.
