President Trump on Friday offered a first look inside the redesigned United States passport, revealing pages that include his image alongside patriotic artwork tied to the Declaration of Independence. In sharing the design, he also issued a pointed message to people entering the country: follow the rules.
“The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!’ President DJT,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, where he included an image of the new passport interior.
One page of the design shows a serious-looking portrait of Trump above his signature. Another features an illustration-style depiction of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence, with the words “United States of America 250” printed beneath it.
Fox News Digital previously reported that the State Department planned to issue limited-edition U.S. passports marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, with Trump playing a prominent role in the design.
The commemorative passports are expected to become available this summer as part of the Trump administration’s wider “America 250” festivities. The anniversary programming has also included a Grand Prix race planned for the National Mall in August and a UFC event held earlier this month on the White House South Lawn.
A State Department official previously told Fox News Digital that the updated passport designs would be offered to “any American citizen” applying during the rollout period and would remain available while supplies last.
Trump’s post comes as the United States has implemented tougher screening measures for foreign visitors, with officials emphasizing that tourists and other non-immigrant travelers are expected to respect U.S. laws and institutions while in the country.
The enhanced vetting measures come as the 2026 FIFA World Cup brings hundreds of thousands of international visitors to the United States for matches scheduled to run through July.
