The summer transfer window is open until September 1, setting the stage for another hectic spell as clubs move to strengthen their squads before the new season.
Here are the latest transfer developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…
Loan move nears as Ronald Araujo prepares for Liverpool arrival
The option-to-buy clause in the deal for the 27-year-old defender has been set at £47million.
Araujo is expected to travel to complete the next steps of the move, with plans in place for him to sign his contract and meet his new Liverpool team-mates tomorrow.
The Uruguay international would bring experience and important defensive depth, offering cover both at centre-back and right-back.
Araujo pushed for the switch after discussions with Hansi Flick made it clear that regular starts were not assured. He believes he will have a stronger chance of securing consistent football under Andoni Iraola at Liverpool.
The Spanish champions are also trying to move on several players as part of a wider squad refresh. Their priorities include a move for Manchester City midfielder Rodri, while they also remain keen to reinforce at centre-back and up front.
Araujo will say farewell to Barcelona teammates today prior to heading for Merseyside on Sunday.
Liverpool remain in talks for Paris Saint-Germain pair Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye.

United have yet to decide on plans for his development but he looks likely to stay around Michael Carrick’s squad until January.
