CHICAGO () — Three people were wounded Wednesday afternoon when gunfire erupted in a Humboldt Park parking lot, Chicago police said.
The shooting was reported around noon in the 4000-block of West Hirsch Street, according to police.
Investigators said the three victims were standing in a parking lot when someone drove past and opened fire.
A 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and took himself to Norwegian Hospital, where police said he was listed in critical condition.
A 25-year-old man was shot in the right armpit and transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
A 33-year-old man was shot in the right hand and also took himself to Norwegian Hospital. CPD said he is expected to recover.
Police did not immediately release additional details about the attack.
