Furious Florida waitress blackmails lover for $20K when she found out he had a girlfriend: cops

MIAMI — A young Miami waitress is facing criminal charges after police say a romantic dispute turned into an alleged extortion attempt.

Authorities accused the 19-year-old of demanding $20,000 from a businessman she had been dating after learning he had a girlfriend throughout their relationship.

Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez was arrested Friday on charges of threats and extortion, WPLG Local 10 reported.

Florida woman Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly attempted to blackmail her ex-boyfriend for $20,000 after finding out he had another girlfriend while they were dating. Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation

According to police, Rodriguez Gonzalez met the affluent victim while serving him at the restaurant where she worked. Jail records list her as 5 feet 1 inch tall.

The two began seeing each other, but investigators said the relationship soured when she discovered she was not the only woman in his life.

Police allege Rodriguez Gonzalez then began sending the man threatening text messages instead of walking away from the affair.

The teen allegedly demanded $20,000 and warned that if he did not pay, she would increase the demand by another $5,000 and send intimate photos to his girlfriend and business partner, according to authorities.

When the man refused to pay, Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly followed through on part of the threat by sending one of the images to his business partner.

“Should I post this on my IG and tag everyone??” Rodriguez Gonzalez told the business partner, according to cops.

She also asked for the phone number of the victim’s girlfriend.

She then allegedly sent the pic to the victim’s girlfriend and told her, “This will genuinely get posted if he doesn’t wire me money BTW.”

Rodriguez Gonzalez ended up posting a censored version of the photo and other pics on her TikTok, according to WPLG’s report.

She also allegedly carried on sending threatening messages, including, “The deportation does not have to happen, but I want my money,” “If he doesn’t wire me the money, his d–k. will get posted followed by your face, his face,” and “Give me my money or I escalate this worse.”

“Remember I was tryna scam him, I’m finally getting to it,” Rodriguez Gonzalez wrote in another message thread, according to WPLG.

The victim showed up at the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Kendall District station on Aug. 24 and reportedly identified a photo of Rodriguez Gonzalez.

She was taken into custody at her home Friday, taken to the station for questioning and reportedly gave a “full confession”.

She was held at the Turner Guilford Correctional Center near Miami International Airport on a $7,500 bond — and later appeared to be released.
