Two of the victims suffered critical injuries
SANFORD, Fla. – At least six people were injured in a shooting Saturday night after a gathering in Sanford, police said.
Officers were called to the area of Poplar Avenue and West 10th Street shortly before 10 p.m. Investigators said a group had gathered in the street for what they described as a “social gathering” when at least one person opened fire. Police arrived within minutes and secured the area.
Two victims suffered critical injuries. A police spokesperson said the other victims were “fairly OK,” but warned that the number of people injured could rise as detectives continue investigating the Sanford shooting.
Investigators have not established whether the gunfire involved a single shooter or multiple attackers. No arrests have been announced, and police are working to determine who was responsible.
