A Wisconsin man has been jailed after authorities said he fatally shot another man during an argument over text messages.
Wilson Jackson, 34, faces charges of first-degree reckless homicide, recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the death of 41-year-old Bryan Schuller. According to a criminal complaint reviewed by Law&Crime, Milwaukee police went to a residence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the night of Sept. 7 following a report of a shooting. Officers found Schuller dead from gunshot wounds to his head and chest.
Investigators identified Jackson as the suspected shooter after a woman described in the complaint as his former girlfriend called 911.
The complaint states that Jackson was already free on bond in an earlier case involving alleged firearm possession by a felon. He was convicted of burglary in 2010. After posting $5,000 bond in June, Jackson agreed not to possess firearms or other dangerous weapons.
Jackson was arrested Saturday and remains in custody at the Milwaukee County Jail on $1 million cash bond. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 1.
