President Donald Trump was greeted by an enthusiastic reception Saturday as he attended a highly anticipated college football matchup in Tennessee.
Fans at Knoxville’s Neyland Stadium erupted when Trump was introduced before the University of Tennessee Volunteers faced the Texas Longhorns on Saturday afternoon.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the 45th and 47th President of the United States — Donald J. Trump,” the public-address announcer declared.
Trump responded with a fist pump as the packed stadium, holding slightly more than 100,000 people, filled with cheers.
As images of the president appeared on the stadium’s jumbotron, he watched the game seated between Tennessee Republican Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty.

Hagerty shared photographs from the stadium suite on X, writing: “Flew into Knoxville this morning with some friends to watch today’s big game. Thanks for the lift, @POTUS— Go Vols!”
Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett likewise expressed his appreciation for the flight, posting a photo of himself outside Air Force One.
The presidential visit added to the spectacle before kickoff, with Air Force One performing a dramatic flyover above Neyland Stadium before landing at 11:28 a.m.
According to a pool report, Trump arrived in Tennessee just over 30 minutes before the noon kickoff and reached the stadium at 11:59 a.m.
He took his seat as the top-ranked Texas Longhorns, led by Arch Manning, sought to extend their perfect start against the undefeated Tennessee Volunteers.
