A Mazda CX-5 was allegedly used to transport Jesse Baird and Luke Davies’ belongings before being rented to other drivers, a court heard on Wednesday.

Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly hired the vehicle, pictured below, in his mother Coleen Lamarre’s name on February 18, 2024—the night before he was accused of murdering Baird and Davies.

The following day, he allegedly drove the rental car from Paddington to Cronulla with the bloodied belongings inside.

Senior Sergeant Bronwyn Lansley, pictured below with lead police investigator Sasha Pinazza, confirmed in court that blood belonging to Baird and Davies was found inside the vehicle.

She also told the court that Hertz rented the Mazda to other drivers after Lamarre-Condon returned it to the company.

Police later seized the car for forensic examination and discovered bloodstains in its boot.

Among Baird and Davies’ bedsheets, clothing and seven bone fragments in a skip bin were four bloodied white AFL goal umpire flags.

Lamarre-Condon is accused of dumping crime scene evidence and the belongings of Baird and Luke Davies in a Cronulla skip bin, about 30 kilometres south of the Paddington scene.

On February 21, 2024—two days after the alleged murders—a groundskeeper noticed that someone had accessed the bin and left several garbage bags inside.

The court was shown photographs on Wednesday depicting the contents of the bags, including bloodied linen, clothing and personal belongings.

The items included a white hoodie, grey denim shorts, a white T-shirt, a grey button-up shirt, white boxer shorts, black and red Calvin Klein underwear, a beaded bracelet and a gold pendant necklace.

Bloodied shoe prints were visible on some of the sheets.

Six bone fragments identified as belonging to Baird were found inside a blood-soaked bedsheet.

Almost every item was stained with Baird’s blood, Davies’ blood or a combination of both.

Police also recovered a bone fragment belonging to Davies from a canvas bag.

Senior Sergeant Lansley told the court that Lamarre-Condon’s fingerprints were found on one of the bags.

Baird worked as a television presenter and also officiated as a weekend AFL umpire.
