Police say surveillance cameras captured at least two masked people going door to door in a Delaware neighborhood late Friday, with one appearing to carry a rifle.
Photos released by the New Castle County Police Department show a person in a tactical-style vest standing at a front door with an object resembling a rifle in hand.
In another image, a second person wearing a black vest and face covering is seen approaching a residence.

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Canvasback Drive in the Mallard Pointe community of New Castle at approximately 10:50 p.m. Friday after residents reported a suspicious person, according to authorities.
Residents described the individual as wearing a black hockey-style mask and a tactical vest while approaching homes with what appeared to be a rifle.

The person reportedly knocked on several doors and then fled the area, police said.
Investigators also learned that four men were seen traveling east on Mallard Road, with two riding bicycles and two walking.
Police searched the neighborhood and nearby properties with assistance from a K-9 team, but the individuals were not found.
Authorities have not determined whether the suspected weapons were genuine firearms. However, investigators believe they may have been airsoft-style guns.
