Transit worker allegedly killed by felon on electronic monitoring despite repeated probation violations

A man accused of fatally stabbing a Chicago Transit Authority worker outside a train station during a daytime attack had previous alleged encounters with the law, authorities said.

Chevazz Campbell, 37, is charged in the stabbing death of Julian Mobley, 41, a husband and father who worked as a CTA janitor, according to FOX 32 Chicago.

The attack occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday at the Damen Green Line station.

Before the stabbing, Campbell allegedly sprayed Mobley in the face twice with mace, prosecutors said, according to FOX 32.
