Best Buy is offering a limited-time discount on the base M4 Mac Mini, which includes 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The desktop typically sells for $799, making it a less obvious choice now that Amazon has offered the newer, faster M6 model for $779.99, down from $899, over the past few weeks. At $649, however, the M4 Mac Mini becomes a far more appealing option.
Apple launched the M4 Mac Mini at $599 in 2024, when it stood out as an excellent value. This sale brings the current price to just $50 above its original launch cost, rather than $200 higher, making it a compelling deal for anyone seeking an affordable modern Mac desktop.
Although the M6 delivers notable gains in processing performance, choosing the M4 Mac Mini does not mean giving up much else. The two models have nearly identical designs and port selections, and both require you to provide accessories such as a keyboard, mouse, display and webcam.
