Twitch streamer Hasan Piker faced widespread backlash after defending his use of antisemitic insults, including references to Jews as “inbred” and “Zionist pigs,” against political opponents. In an interview with NPR, Piker dismissed the remarks as nonliteral and argued that criticism of him is driven by anti-Muslim bias. Kaufman also rejects comparisons between Black and Palestinian struggles as a political myth and cites polling that he says reflects continued Black support for Israel.
“The Jewish people know what happens when hatred becomes acceptable. Throughout history, pogroms and persecution were fueled by lies that portrayed Jews as less than human. The Holocaust showed the world where the systematic dehumanization of Jews can lead.” — The Israeli-American Council, condemning Hasan Piker’s antisemitic comments.
