Talk about a close encounter.
A deer went on a wild rampage inside a North Carolina laundromat Tuesday after crashing through the storefront window and sending customers scrambling for safety.
Surveillance footage shows the buck racing across the street toward Wishy Washy Laundry in Winston-Salem. It vaulted over a vehicle before colliding with a woman and knocking her to the ground.
The frantic animal then burst through the laundromat’s front windows and tore through the business.
“Nothing can prepare you for what happened at the Wishy Washy today,” the business said in a post featuring chaotic video from inside and outside the laundromat.
Customers ducked and scattered as the deer charged through the room. One man even climbed onto a table while the buck barreled past, striking several laundry carts along the way.
The unexpected visitor hopped over a couch, moved toward the rear of the laundromat and eventually jumped onto a row of washing machines.

After scrambling across the machines, the buck made its escape through the same broken front window it had used to enter.
It then raced down the road and disappeared beyond the reach of the surveillance cameras.
“For those wondering, this is 100% legit. No AI. A freaking deer crashed through our laundromat today,” Wishy Washy Laundry wrote in the comments.
Owner Corey Pendergrass told FOX 8 that an employee inside the business called him immediately after the incident.
Pendergrass said no one inside the laundromat was hurt during the chaos.
However, the woman struck outside in the parking lot had left before Wishy Washy employees could check on her, the owner said.
The shattered storefront window was repaired later that same day, according to the local station.
