Zendaya’s Halloween costume has received the ultimate seal of approval from the woman who inspired it.
The actress recreated the striking look Halle Berry wore to the premiere of X-Men, perfectly matching the Lanvin bikini top and low-rise trousers that made Berry’s red-carpet appearance so memorable.
Berry, 60, has now given the costume her enthusiastic approval.
The actress shared several posts celebrating Zendaya’s transformation, including a TikTok praising the star for portraying the “fashion icon” for Halloween.
“Leave it to Zendaya to dress as a fashion icon for Halloween,” the video begins.
Originally styled by Phillip Bloch, Berry’s iconic ensemble was sourced by Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach. The recreation closely mirrored the outfit Berry wore on the red carpet more than two decades ago.

Berry’s posts came as she remains involved in a contentious legal dispute with her former husband, Olivier Martinez, who accused her of physically abusing their 13-year-old son, Maceo.
Berry has denied every allegation.
Several significant developments were reported in the case this past week.
TMZ reported that Martinez, 60, had been granted primary physical custody of Maceo, while Berry lost overnight visits with their son.
A representative for Berry told the outlet that she continues to share joint legal custody and retains the deciding vote if she and Martinez cannot reach an agreement.
Martinez, who previously shared 50/50 custody of Maceo with Berry, was awarded primary custody last month. He also obtained a temporary restraining order (TRO) involving himself and their son.
According to Page Six, the judge also rejected Martinez’s request for a domestic violence restraining order.
“We are extremely pleased that the Court has dissolved the TRO,” Marina Beck, Berry’s attorney, told Our News Outlet. “As we move forward, Halle is determined to continue to focus on the well-being and best interests of her family.”

Following the ruling, Martinez said he hoped the relationship between Maceo and his mother would improve.
He told Extra: “I truly hope Maceo and his mother will be able to have a better relationship in the future….
“I don’t want my son to hate his mom. I want him to love her. I want him to forgive her, and I want them to reconcile in some way at one point.”
The dispute began after Martinez alleged in a court filing that Berry had physically abused Maceo during a September 26 incident, claiming she jumped on him and choked him. Berry has denied the allegations.

A source told Page Six that dissolving the TRO represented “a huge win” for Berry.
Patrick Baghdaserians, Martinez’s attorney, told TMZ that Berry’s lawyers had sought to restore the former 50/50 custody arrangement, but the judge declined their request.
The custody arrangement is reportedly due to be reviewed again next month.
Berry and Martinez were married from 2013 until 2015, and finalized their divorce in 2023.
