Gourmia has recalled approximately 175,951 air fryer ovens after receiving reports that users suffered burns while operating the appliances.
The recall covers about 175,951 Gourmia Stainless Steel Digital 9 Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens. The company received dozens of complaints from consumers who said their hands or wrists were burned while removing food from the oven.
Announced Nov. 5, the recall involves units whose doors may “unexpectedly close when bumped,” creating a burn risk for anyone reaching inside to retrieve hot food.
According to Gourmia, it received 57 reports of the oven doors closing without warning. At least 40 of those incidents resulted in burns to consumers’ hands or wrists.
The affected appliances are model GTF7530 and carry UPC code 810002862779. Both identifying numbers appear on the product packaging and on a label located on the back of the air fryer.

Each recalled oven features two spring-loaded glass French doors with metal handles.
The air fryers were sold nationwide at Target stores and through Target.com from October 2021 through June 2026. They retailed for roughly $150.
Consumers should stop using the recalled air fryer immediately and contact Gourmia to receive a free repair kit. To request one, customers must complete an online form with details about the affected appliance.
Proof of purchase is not required to submit a request. Gourmia says repair kits are expected to arrive within two to four weeks after a claim is filed.
