Strands is one of the newest additions to The New York Times’ lineup of puzzle games, offering a fresh spin on the traditional word search. Each day, players are given a theme and must locate all the words in the grid that connect to it. Among them is the “spangram,” a key word or phrase that stretches across the board from one side to another and helps clarify the puzzle’s overall theme.

Today’s Strands Breakdown
This was probably a little trickier for me simply because I’m not a sports guy, not a Knicks fan (I don’t dislike the Knicks by any means, they’re just not my team because I don’t have a team). Plus, words like MARQUEE and JUMBOTRON are pretty tricky. I was finding words like COURT and not finding COURTSIDE also, and this was one Strands where I got the spangram, GARDEN PARTY, dead last.
