Pictures of a Real Madrid theme park in Dubai set to open by 2025 have been revealed in what is believed to be a world first.

Work on the park is reportedly going ahead at ‘full speed’ after delays prevented an opening last year.

The amusement park will indulge football fans with attractions exploring the club’s history, from rollercoasters and restaurants to football challenges and virtual reality experiences.

Spanish outlet MARCA have released photographs showing how his long-time dream for a billionaire’s playground has almost come to fruition, while others are elsewhere online.

The resort will be around 19 miles from Palmera, Arabian Ranches, one of Dubai’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, on the site of the old Bollywood Park.

It is being built in conjunction with Dubai Park and Resorts, the Middle East’s largest theme park with over 100 ride.

One of the areas of the park, the ‘Avenue of Champions’, will recreate the classic streets of Madrid, tying in with the club’s history.

A gigantic restaurant named after their anthem ‘Hala Madrid’ will grace the Avenue of Champions and buildings will be built from similar steel to the new Bernabeu.

Elsewhere, there will be a training pitch, a ‘Hala Madrid coaster’, a ‘Bernabeu experience’ and a family rollercoaster called ‘the Wave’.

A Hala Madrid rollercoaster will take people on a journey through Real Madrid’s record 14 European Cups at ‘full speed’, MARCA tells us. Apparently, ‘even standing in line will be entertaining’.

For anyone bidding to usurp Jude Bellingham, you’ll be able to try your hand at eight sporting challenges with ‘the most advanced training technology’, as MARCA put it.

As well as football, athletes will be able to prove their worth at basketball as Real Madrid have Europe’s most successful team in that discipline.

As for virtual reality, a futuristic experience will recreate Madrid’s Plaza de la Cibeles, with participants supposedly ‘feeling like the players celebrating the Champions League in the legendary Madrid square’.

Perez has previously envisioned a global network of theme parks but a plot to build on in Madrid never came to fruition

Of course, there’ll be an official Real Madrid store – ‘one of the largest in the world’ – and food offerings catering for up to 15,000 hungry mouths.

A hangover from the site’s Bollywood days will see a theatre retaining at 850 capacity.

The shops promise – in the website’s corporate speak – ‘unique retail options featuring memorabilia from across Real Madrid’s successful history’, leaving fans to speculate what treasure they might be able to pick up.

While delays have beset the process, pictures of almost-completed rollercoasters and people in hard hats suggest this is actually happening, which hasn’t been the case for president Perez’s other theme park ambitions.

In 2009 he pondered building a £135 million park near Madrid’s training centre in Valdebebas and he announced plans for developments in Beijing and Miami, but they are yet to materialise.
