Oasis star Noel Gallagher and his former wife Sara MacDonald have brought their divorce proceedings to a close, with reports suggesting she is in line for a substantial settlement.
According to insiders, Sara, 52, who works as a music publicist, could receive around £20 million as well as the former couple’s £8 million country home in Hampshire.
A source told The Sun that Sara remained at the property following the split, while Noel moved out, adding that she is expected to continue living there.
The insider said the pair made a conscious effort to keep the divorce process private, handling matters away from the spotlight and avoiding a public courtroom clash.
They also claimed that, towards the end, communication between Noel and Sara was largely handled through their legal teams.

The source added that reaching an agreement is likely to have come as a major relief for both parties, with each side understood to be reasonably satisfied with the outcome.
Things were thought to have become so tense between the estranged couple that they only communicated through lawyers in the final stages of their divorce.
After the settlement, which was drawn up last month, was agreed, both jetted off abroad to celebrate, with Noel landing in Vegas,and Sara joining friends in Ibiza.

Since the split, Noel has been has been living in the lap of luxury at Claridge’s in Mayfair, London, while he waits for his new flat in Maida Vale to be renovated.
The rocker, who now fronts the band High Flying Birds, told how writing his latest album helped him to ‘come to terms’ with the break-up.
He said: ‘Divorce is a long, drawn-out process, so it affects the mood of the album, for sure.
‘When you’re an artist you write about what you know, and I don’t really have much to say about life in general, as I don’t really give a f*** about most things I see on the news.

‘So when things happen in your life that you can articulate, I tend to jump on them, and it makes for better art.’
It comes after Noel recently opened up about his split from Sara in January after 12 years of marriage.
He revealed that the couple ‘grew tired of each other’ which he said was not unusual for couples in their 50s.
Sara is Noel’s second wife, who he met at an Ibiza nightclub Space in 2000, a year before his divorce from his first wife Meg Matthews, 57 – the mother of his eldest child, Anaïs, 23.
The former couple were notorious for a party-hard lifestyle at the height of Brit Pop in the mid ’90s as they lived it up during rowdy nights with north London’s notorious Primrose Hill set, among them supermodel Kate Moss and actress Sadie Frost.
But following their split, it was reported that Noel had an affair with Sara – an allegation they both denied.
Noel and Sara married in 2011 at the Lime Wood Hotel in the New Forest in a £60,000 ceremony with guests including Russell Brand in attendance – but younger brother and former bandmate Liam said he wasn’t invited.
They share sons Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12.
