GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dillan W. Stephens, aged 28, faces charges of indecent exposure and lewd and lascivious behavior following accusations of exposing himself twice within the same day.
The first incident occurred around 6:38 p.m. on November 24 when an employee at a business located in the shopping center at 1459 NW 23rd Avenue reported seeing a man standing outside with his pants down, engaging in inappropriate behavior. The employee instructed the man to leave, which he did.
Approximately an hour later, at 7:40 p.m., a juvenile employee and her mother witnessed the same man. They reported that he lowered his pants, made direct eye contact with them, and resumed his inappropriate actions.
The victims provided authorities with a description of the individual, leading a Gainesville Police Department officer to locate Stephens nearby. The officer observed that Stephens was dressed in attire matching the description given by the victims. At least one victim positively identified Stephens as the suspect.
Following his arrest and after being read his Miranda rights, Stephens chose not to respond to any questions from the police.
Stephens, whose address is listed as GRACE Marketplace, has been charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition and two counts of indecent exposure. He has no previous local criminal history, and Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $4,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
