Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs asks the judge to free him on $50m bond pending sentencing.
The disgraced music mogul is set for sentencing in October for offenses related to prostitution after being cleared of more serious charges. His attorneys argue that no other “John” would remain in jail under similar circumstances, but prosecutors maintain that Combs is still a flight risk.
At 55, Combs could face up to ten years in prison over two counts of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution, which includes flying individuals across the country, such as his girlfriends and male escort services.
Following Combs’ acquittal, his lead attorney Marc Agnifilo sought his release on bond. Nevertheless, Judge Arun Subramanian rejected this request, citing insufficient evidence to confirm Combs is not a “danger to any person or the community.”
