The home where Chris Watts murdered his family is now for sale, but real estate agents are taking special precautions to limit access to the property, The Sun reports.

Last week, the 4,177-square-foot home was listed secretly with a fictitious address and without photographs of the front of the residence.

There are also strings attached to get inside. The listing agent is requiring prospective buyers to provide a funding commitment letter from a bank for at least $660,000, according to The Sun. Interested parties must be accompanied by a real estate agent when viewing the property.Such restrictions are likely part of an effort to weed out followers of the case who are not seriously interested or capable of purchasing the house.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 2825 Saratoga Trail in Frederick, Colorado, is estimated to be worth $816,200. It sits on 0.15 acres of property and has views of the Rocky Mountains. There are three garage stalls.

The newspaper confirmed with the agent that the listing is real, according to The Sun.

Watts pleaded guilty to murdering his pregnant wife, Shanann, and their daughters, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste, in August 2018.

Watts strangled Shanann at the home and then drove her body to a worksite along with his daughters. He smothered the girls and dumped their bodies inside oil storage tanks and buried Shanann in a shallow grave.

The home was subject to foreclosure after Watts was arrested and the property was offered at auction in 2019, but no one bid on the property.

Watts was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He is currently an inmate at the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin.

When he murdered his family, Watts was having an affair. He reportedly told a fellow inmate that he killed his wife because he didn’t want to pay child support and did not want the son she was carrying, according to the Daily Mail.
