A source has confirmed claims that Celeste Rivas, a young girl from California, was partially frozen, as reported by TMZ.

The publication also noted that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner indicated the deceased could not be fingerprinted due to her fingers being waterlogged.

On Monday, the medical examiner’s office announced a security hold on the case, following a court order issued by the LAPD last Friday.

“No records or details related to the case, including the cause and manner of death and the Medical Examiner’s report, can be released or posted on the website until further notice,” the medical examiner’s office stated.

Earlier reports from CrimeOnline revealed that Los Angeles police discovered Celeste’s body on September 8 inside a Tesla registered to the singer D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke. This vehicle had initially been left near Burke’s residence in the upscale Bird Streets area of Hollywood Hills.

The police traced the car to a tow yard in Hollywood after residents in the Hollywood Hills area reported an abandoned vehicle with a Texas license plate on September 6.

The vehicle had been at the lot for several days before LAPD officers made the discovery. LAPD said Celeste’s dismembered body had been put in a bag and left in the front trunk.

The source’s claim came before LAPD captain Scot Williams told People Magazine that Celeste had not been decapitated or frozen.

“Celeste’s body was not frozen,” he said. “She was not decapitated. The whole frozen thing doesn’t even make sense.  Her body was in the car for weeks.”

Meanwhile, Burke, who is now considered a suspect in the case, has reportedly been uncooperative. A second suspect is also being investigated.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
