Pennsylvania police conducted a search on Friday for a woman who vanished under suspicious circumstances last week.
Kada Scott, 23, was reportedly last observed after completing her night shift at a nursing home on Saturday. Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore informed WCAU that the authorities are conducting a search at the Awbury Arboretum as part of their investigation into her disappearance, though the reasons for selecting this specific location were not disclosed.
Scott apparently left work early on Saturday, which was not typical for her. Her car was found in the nursing home’s parking lot.
According to Scott’s mother, she left home carrying her car keys, iPad, iPhone, and iWatch, but her phone has since been turned off, preventing police from tracking her movements.
Philadelphia Police Captain John Craig mentioned that Scott had informed her family about being harassed by someone over the phone not long before she disappeared. The police are still investigating to determine the identity of the caller.
There has been no activity on Scott’s phone or social media since she went missing. Craig noted that she does not have a prior history of disappearing, and her colleagues did not observe anything unusual before she went missing.
Scott is described as approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing roughly 120 pounds. Anyone with information about her case is urged to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-3353.
