The police have recently taken six individuals into custody and confiscated luxury vehicles, illicit firearms, and drugs in a series of raids across Sydney.
In a major crackdown involving 150 officers, authorities seized assets valued at $12 million during operations at 10 different locations yesterday.
The raids were conducted at various sites, including the city’s central business district, the southwestern suburbs, and North Sydney. The police also executed 11 checks on compliance with Firearm Prohibition Orders.
Among those charged were four men and two women, ages ranging from 22 to 37. The charges include possession of illegal firearms, drug trafficking, using fraudulent documents, and knowingly handling criminal proceeds.
Notable arrests included a 27-year-old woman from Sans Souci, charged with possessing an unlicensed firearm, and a 27-year-old man from Barangaroo, accused of drug-related offences, notably the distribution of significant quantities of illegal substances.
During these operations, authorities seized mobile phones and electronic devices, approximately $21,000 in cash, luxury watches, jewelry, weapons, drugs, and other restricted substances.
The NSW Crime Commission confiscated a 2013 Rolls-Royce Ghost valued at $600,000, a Lamborghini 724 Huracan worth $600,000 and a 2024 BMW XM valued at $300,000.
Authorities also confiscated assets held by a 35-year-old Georges Hall man worth $12.4 million.
