After slamming a student to the ground, Marquette Thinn was detained. There is a video of him that was taken as he was doing it. On the internet, it has gone viral.

During the altercation on January 21, he was accused of shoving a 14-year-old kid. The incident was captured on tape, according to the RCSO.

The event happened about 10 a.m. on Monday, according to the kid who recorded it. In the video, Thinn and a freshman student appear to be arguing at a desk.

The scene turned tense all of a sudden. Finally, the pupil takes his belongings and departs, declaring that he will not follow Thinn’s instructions.

As the student begins to walk away, Thinn screams a swear word and tells him to sit down before slamming him to the ground.

The guy, who other students identify as the instructor, shouts a swear term and says, “sit down somewhere,” as he approaches the door before seeming to knock the kid to the ground.

Students’ emotions ranged from shock to awkward laughter as the teacher screamed again, asking him to sit down. 

Salem High School Teacher, Marquette Thinn Arrested?

Marquette Thinn of Salem High School teacher has been arrested. According to a press release from investigators, he was booked with a simple bаttery charge.

He was released after paying a $2,000 bail. However, the parents and students have been outraged after seeing the video and questioning the police on why he was charged with only battery.

Thus, the Rockdаle County Sheriff’s Office’s Investigаtor J Figuerorа answers their question by stating that when he looked in the video, the teacher was seen pushing the boy on the ground, writes Fox5 Atlanta. 

Besides, the student and teacher acknowledged that it was just a push that cannot be considered aggravated assault. Thus, he was charged with a simple battery.

Marquette Thinn is a 44 years old man from Lawrenceville. However, there is no information about his birth date on the internet. 

Nevertheless, he was assigned as a social studies teacher in the Salem High School in August 2020. He was on the job till January 25, 2022.
