Video captured a brazen thief making off with a cart brimming with plants from Exotic Botanic, a nursery situated in the north-eastern part of the city, and wheeling it into a nearby parking lot.
In a dramatic turn of events, the owner, who is heavily pregnant, was seen sprinting after the suspect.
Her swift actions paid off as she successfully retrieved the cart and returned it to the store.
Following the incident, the nursery took to social media to share their experience and plead with the public to refrain from such thefts.
“Please, don’t make me chase you while I’m nine months pregnant,” the owner expressed online.
“And, kindly refrain from stealing hundreds of dollars worth of plants from us,” she added.
Police say they have not received any reports from the incident.
