Pregnant Woman and Sister Allegedly Involved in Altercation with Restaurant Employee, Authorities Report

Authorities have charged Brianna Long, 29, and her younger sister Kierianna Long, 26, with several serious offenses, including assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. The violent incident unfolded on May 30 at an eatery located on the 17100 block of E. Warren Avenue in Detroit, as detailed in reports from local NBC affiliate WDIV and The Metro Detroit News.

The dispute began in the drive-thru when the sisters allegedly received an incorrect order. Frustrated, they reportedly entered the restaurant and engaged in a heated argument with a 23-year-old employee. The confrontation escalated as the sisters allegedly pursued the employee through the establishment, hurling various kitchen items—including pots and pans—at her. Prosecutors claim one sister even threw a pot of hot grease at the employee.

In an attempt to defend herself, the employee reportedly threw a knife towards the sisters. Kierianna Long is accused of seizing the knife and stabbing the employee in the stomach. In a bid to escape further harm, the wounded employee sought refuge in a car and contacted the police.

Emergency responders quickly transported the injured worker to a hospital, where she underwent urgent surgery. Meanwhile, the sisters allegedly fled the scene but were subsequently apprehended by law enforcement and taken into custody.

Defense attorneys for the sisters claim that it was the employee who was the aggressor and that she told the sisters she didn’t “give a f—” about the wrong food order. The employee threw items at the sisters first, the attorneys said.

Brianna Long was nine months pregnant and gave birth days after her arrest, prosecutors reportedly said.

Records show she has a $25,000 bond while her sister has a $50,000 bond. Both remain in jail and are set to return to court on June 17.
