A 53-year-old man was abducted by four individuals just after 6 a.m. on February 24, as he stood outside his shop on Meadows Road in Mount Pritchard. CCTV footage captured the moment he was forced into a Hyundai hatchback.
The victim attempted to fend off his attackers, but ultimately could not escape their grasp.
Following the incident, authorities arrested a teenager at a residence in Dural, who is currently facing legal proceedings.
Yesterday at approximately 1:40 p.m., a 20-year-old suspect was apprehended in Penrith and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station.
Police claim that this man was one of the four involved in the abduction.
He now faces several charges, including taking and detaining in company with intent to ransom, causing actual bodily harm, and violating bail conditions.
The other two people who were seen on CCTV snatching the man in the street still have not been found.
