Tayla Lee Brailey, a former teacher, found herself under arrest last August at a school located in south-west Sydney. She faced accusations of engaging in sexual activities with a 17-year-old student during school hours, near the high school where she was employed.
The 32-year-old additionally faced charges of inappropriate sexual conduct with a 16-year-old student and allegedly encouraging them to engage in sexual acts with her.
Due to legal restrictions, any details that could reveal the identity of the students involved are prohibited from being published, which includes the name of the school where Brailey was teaching.
Brailey also admitted guilt to charges of using telecommunications services to obtain and send child abuse material to herself.
While the prosecution withdrew five other charges, including inciting the 16-year-old to engage in sexual activities and the aggravated sexual assault of a minor under her care, the case against her continues.
Brailey is scheduled to receive her sentence in the NSW District Court, with the exact date to be determined when she appears in court again later this March.
She remains on bail under strict conditions which prohibit her from entering any educational institution or being in the company of a child unless a carer is present.
