The Sheboygan Police Department has announced a Silver Alert for a man from Wisconsin who went missing from an assisted living center over the past weekend.
Todd Edwin Janssen departed from the facility around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday and has not been spotted since. The facility is situated at the intersection of 13th and Eisner in Sheboygan.
Authorities report that although Janssen often leaves the facility, he typically returns within a few hours.
According to the police alert, Janssen “has significant experience with forestry and landscaping and may have been trying to get to a local golf course.”
Janssen is characterized as a white male with blue eyes and salt-and-pepper hair, which is thinning. When he went missing, he had a slight beard. He stands five feet, eight inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds.
At the time of his disappearance, Janssen was wearing a Carhartt jacket and a stocking cap.
Police say Janssen may be experiencing some confusion. He is “believed to have dementia or some other cognitive impairment.”
