Thieves steal 15 cars from Queensland car yard business in overnight raid

Thieves have made off with more than a dozen vehicles, potentially worth millions of dollars, from a car transport business in Springwood, south of Brisbane.

The business was ransacked on Saturday morning, between midnight and 9am, with the offenders taking off with 15 vehicles.

“Safe was broken, all the office was broken and looks like they’ve taken nearly a hundred keys,” Sam Hussain told 9News.

“We normally do transport interstate so all types of cars, Corollas, Porches, Aston Martins, any type of cars.

“Not sure which cars have been stolen we’re going through the key count now.”

Hussain told 9News he rented the property because of the secure fencing, but the offenders jumped the fences and simply smashed the gate on their way out.

A power outage that night meant no CCTV was recording, leaving police with limited leads.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward to police.
