WHAT DIDDY DO? Mystery Witness Ghosts Prosecution, Will They Find Her?

President Donald Trump mentioned on Monday that Sean “Diddy” Combs had approached him for a pardon concerning his federal case, for which he received a four-year sentence last week.

In a conversation with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Trump stated that “many people have asked me for pardons,” including Ghislaine Maxwell and Combs. Earlier this year, Combs’ lawyer, Nicole Westmoreland, had informed the network about their intentions to reach out to Trump for a pardon.

“I call him Puff Daddy; he has asked me for a pardon,” Trump said this week, according to Fox News.

Shortly after Westmoreland’s August remarks, Trump asserted that he hadn’t interacted with Combs in years. At that time, Trump suggested it was unlikely he would grant Combs a pardon due to past criticism from Combs when Trump began his political career.

“I got along with him great, and he seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well. But when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” he told Newmax.

On Friday, Combs received a 50-month sentence for moving individuals across state borders for the purpose of prostitution. The prosecution aimed for an 11-year sentence, while Combs’ legal team sought 14 months, which would have allowed for his immediate release due to time served.

Judge Arun Subramanian stated that Combs’ actions necessitated a significant sentence “to demonstrate to both perpetrators and victims that abuse and violence against women will be met with serious consequences.” The judge disagreed with the defense’s 14-month sentence suggestion but also found the prosecution’s proposal of over 11 years to be excessive.

Combs’ lawyers said they plan to appeal his sentence.
