Cops Recommend Felony Charges Against Influencer’s Husband in Toddler Son’s Drowning Death

Arizona prosecutors announced last week that they will not be charging a man whose 3-year-old son drowned on their property in May.

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell stated that it’s unlikely there would be a conviction for Brady Kiser if prosecuted for the drowning of his son, Trigg Kiser. According to The Arizona Republic, Trigg passed away on May 18, after being found in the family’s backyard pool in Chandler a few days earlier.

On May 12, reports indicate that Brady Kiser was supervising his newborn and toddler sons when he discovered the older child floating in the pool. Allegedly, Kiser was attending to his newborn when he lost sight of the 3-year-old for no more than five minutes.

Initially, Chandler police considered filing felony child abuse charges against Kiser. Documentation shows that the possibility of criminal charges was evaluated before the child’s passing.

Despite this, Mitchell explained that she and experienced senior prosecutors involved determined that proving criminal negligence by Brady Kiser would be challenging.

At the time of the incident, Brady Kiser was caring for his two children as his wife, Emilie Kiser, a social media influencer, was away with friends. He mentioned observing the toddler playing by the pool, which he insisted was a usual occurrence, noting that a protective cover was often in place over the pool.

Emilie Kiser, who has amassed over 4 million followers on TikTok, filed a lawsuit on May 27 seeking to keep details surrounding her son Trigg’s death private. The family’s lawyer expressed their desire to mourn in seclusion, stating public scrutiny has made this difficult.

On June 3, a judge barred Chandler and Maricopa County officials from disclosing records until lawyers reviewed the documents.
