The search effort persists for a Georgia man who mysteriously disappeared on Sunday after setting out from his home with his dog.
According to a report by Atlanta’s 11 Alive News, James “Greg” Powell, 61, was last seen leaving his Cherokee County residence early Sunday morning.
The Canton Police Department noted that Powell left home at precisely 9:09 a.m. that day. His vehicle was later discovered by authorities near the River Green Tennis Courts, located at 111 Racquet Club Drive in Canton.
Powell was accompanied by his dog, Ally, when he departed. It is said that he dropped Ally off with a sitter and did not return afterward.
At the time of his disappearance, Powell was dressed in a sizable blue jacket paired with blue sweatpants.
The Canton Police Department is spearheading the investigation and appeals to the public for any information that could aid in finding Powell.
