Gemma Arterton Debuts Glamorous Updo at Harper’s Bazaar Awards
The actress braved the London cold in a sophisticated long black coat and trousers at the ceremony, held at Claridge’s Hotel.
The Quantum of Solace star allowed her striking updo to take centre stage, with her hair pinned up in an effortlessly polished style.

Her brunette hair was given plenty of volume at the crown, while the back was styled in a deliberately tousled finish, with loose strands framing her face.
The 27-year-old kept much of her outfit concealed beneath the coat, although her loose-fitting, sparkling trousers were visible underneath.
The former Bond star added height with satin peep-toe heels and finished the look with a tiny gold clutch bag.

Her carefully arranged hairstyle also exposed a small angel’s-wing tattoo behind her ear, which she had done after filming Prince of Persia.
Arterton completed her evening ensemble with immaculate red nails and understated gold drop earrings. Bronze-toned eyeshadow added warmth to her makeup.
The covered-up look was a marked change from the red-carpet outfit she wore at last week’s UNICEF Halloween Ball at One Mayfair in London.

At that event, Gemma turned heads in a dramatic backless negligee-style dress with delicate spaghetti straps that highlighted her enviable curves.
Her appearance came after it was announced that she would serve as a judge for this year’s EE Rising Star Award at the BAFTAs.
Speaking about being on the panel, she said: 'I’m honoured to be part of this year’s EE Rising Star Award jury. I know industry support and recognition is crucial for success when you are starting out. This is always an exciting category and I’m intrigued to see who will take the award in 2014.'
Meanwhile also making an appearance at the awards was Rita Ora who debuted her newly-dyed white hair and a figure-hugging fishtail lace gown.
But she was by no means the only winner of the night; Victoria Beckham took home the Special Contribution to British Fashion accolade, while Jourdan Dunn was awarded the Model title.
L'Wren Scott, the designer partner of Sir Mick Jagger was named Tastemaker, while the International and British Actress awards went to Cate Blanchett and Naomie Harris respectively.
