On Tuesday, famous personalities like Simone Biles, Diana Ross, and Pharrell Williams attended the yearly Met Gala, a fashion exhibition and charity event that this year honors the style and tailoring of Black men.
The carpet leading to the museum was deep blue with daffodil accents, and featured many guests in black-and-white outfits. Attendees were protected with umbrellas by their assistants from the torrential rain.
The Met Gala raises funds for New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and is recognized for featuring top celebrities in lavish costumes. Attendees were instructed to dress in line with this year’s theme, ‘Tailored for You’, which nods to the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibition at the museum’s Costume Institute.

The theme was picked last year, prior to US President Donald Trump’s election for a second term, which saw him take a stand against diversity and inclusion initiatives.
