Seun Kuti, the late iconic artist Fela Kuti’s son, has replied to Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede’s recent plea to Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu.

Yvonne Jegede has earlier lamented the status of the economy and questioned Sanwo-Olu why he planned to feed Lagos residents by setting up mama put booths.

She went on to say that, given the near-extinction of the manufacturing sector, he could recruit more people and pay them as low as the minimum wage rather than feeding them, pointing out that the bulk of taxpayers are now panhandlers.

“Sanwo Olu, Why feed us? Why can’t you just employ us? Get people out to start digging sewages, laying pipes underground, sweeping the streets and paying them as little as minimum wage, since the industrial sector is almost dead.

Why would you even prefer to feed your citizens “Mama Put”, @ taxpayers have been reduced to beggars. 9r.. When will someone just have mercy on us?

When will someone just feel pity for this great country?” she wrote.

In reaction, Seun Kuti, however took advantage of her claim that taxpayers have been reduced to panhandlers.

He stated that a beggar is not respected by anyone, highlighting why citizens should be taking more careful action.

“No body respects a beggar” he wrote.
