Triple M breakfast host pulled off air after sexual assault charge

Bell, who co-hosts the Tammy and JB breakfast program on 99.5 Triple M Cairns, was charged over an alleged incident at a licensed venue in Smithfield, Queensland, on August 21.

A 21st birthday celebration was reportedly taking place at the venue at the time.

The 34-year-old is alleged to have touched a woman inappropriately inside the venue before becoming involved in a confrontation outside, during which two men were allegedly assaulted.

Queensland Police said the complaints were not lodged on the night of the alleged incident, but were reported in the days afterwards.

A police spokesperson confirmed that a 34-year-old man from Kewarra Beach was charged on October 3 with sexual assault, assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault.
