Illinois COVID vaccine map shows how many residents vaccinated by county

CHICAGO (WLS) — The Illinois Department of Public Health is now publishing daily data on how many COVID-19 vaccines are being administered across the state and who is receiving them.

As of Jan 13, IDPH data shows 83,065 people in Illinois have been fully vaccinated against COVID. That’s just more than half a percent (0.7%) of the state’s population.

In total, Illinois has received 972,050 vaccines doses. About 40% of that is allocated to long-term care facilities (384,658 doses).

So far, 384,658 doses have been administered.

About 13% of those have gone to the staff and residents of LTC facilities.

Broadly speaking, places with larger populations have vaccinated more people. However, places with smaller populations have vaccinated a greater percent of their population.

Counties/areas with the most people fully vaccinated

Suburban Cook – 16,653 people (0.67% of its population)
Chicago – 16,406 people (0.61%)
DuPage – 9314 people (1%)
Will – 5703 people (0.82%)
Lake – 4628 people (0.66%)

Counties with highest percent of people fully vaccinated
Knox – 1.15% of its population is fully vaccinated (576 people)

Winnebago – 1.08%. (3071 people)
Clinton – 1.00% (375 people)
DuPage – 1.00% (9314 people)
Morgan – 0.97% (330 people)
