KISSIMMEE, Fla. – On Saturday, an individual was taken to the hospital following a collision involving a pedestrian and an Orange County Fire Rescue medical transport vehicle, as reported by a fire department representative.
According to the spokesperson, the occurrence took place at approximately 11:05 a.m. at the junction of John Young Parkway and Oak Street. At that moment, the medical transport was on its way to Orlando Regional Medical Center due to another incident, stated the spokesperson.
The Kissimmee Fire Department took the pedestrian to a hospital for medical treatment, according to the statement.
The spokesperson emphasized that “the safety of our community and our firefighters is the utmost priority for Orange County Fire.” They further stated that the department is examining the event and intends to fully assist law enforcement, which is heading the investigation into the vehicular incident.
According to the Kissimmee Fire Department, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Kissimmee Police Department is investigating the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
