Trump says he commuted prison sentence of George Santos

On Friday, President Trump announced he had commuted the sentence of former Representative George Santos from New York, just months after Santos began serving his prison term.

“George has endured lengthy periods in solitary confinement and, according to reports, has faced severe mistreatment,” Trump shared in a statement posted on Truth Social.

“Consequently, I’ve signed a commutation that will free George Santos from prison immediately. Best wishes, George, and may you enjoy a wonderful life!” he continued.
