Fallen Tree in Marion County Results in Leak from 120-Gallon Propane Tank

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A tree fell on a 120-gallon propane tank Tuesday morning, causing a gas leak in Marion County, according to firefighters.

Marion County Fire Rescue responded to the 1400 block of NE 59th Street in Ocala, where they found the propane tank half-full and “actively leaking.”

Multiple crews responded and firefighters were able to secure the tank.

They then used multi-gas detectors to monitor conditions until the scene was “stabilized.”

“Due to our team’s swift action and collaboration, what could have been a hazardous situation was managed effectively without any additional issues,” fire rescue shared in a post on social media.

No other information was released.
