WAYNESBORO, Ga. () – Lou’s on Liberty is restaurant where you can get burgers, wings, loaded fries, and more.

In this installment of “Your Hometown Road Trip,” the crew visited and interviewed Gary Jenkins, the General Manager, to discuss the business, his clientele, and the reasons people keep returning to Lou’s on Liberty.

Tell us about what this place is and what it’s all about.

“Lou’s on Liberty was a dream I’ve always had. I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur, so I decided to start small. I was naturally drawn to running a small business, especially since I come from a family of cooks, so it felt like a natural fit.”

How long have you been here, and what’s been the response from people?

“We’ve been open for two years now. It’s been an amazing experience, with lots of support from both local patrons and those traveling from further away, thanks to our presence on social media.”

What kind of food is here?

“Our daily menu includes burgers, wings, chicken and club sandwiches, salads, and other similar items, but our specialty lies in southern cuisine. Each day, we offer a hot bar featuring southern classics such as fried chicken, fried pork chops, collard greens, cabbage, mac and cheese, and more.”

What do you think makes this place so special?

“To begin with, our food is fantastic, the atmosphere is incredible, and the staff is simply wonderful. They are warm and welcoming, making sure to interact with our guests and create a homely feeling.”

What’s the one thing you feel like I have to have before I leave?

“The wings, the wings are unheard of.”

Anyone you want to thank?

“I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you, for allowing my dream to come true of being an entrepreneur.”

Lou’s on Liberty is located on 609 North Liberty Street in Waynesboro. You can find them on Facebook here.
