SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Evan Goetz, the executive director of Tybee Post Theater, appeared with News 3’s Tyler Nicole on Sunday morning to discuss their latest achievement: their 10th anniversary.

Thanks to a Georgia Council of the Arts grant received on Sept. 27, 2015, Tybee Post Theater has evolved into a hub of art and culture, enchanting both locals and visitors who seek to engage with the artistic community in the Tybee Island region.

To commemorate ten years of performing arts and culture, the non-profit organization has organized a 10-hour live-streamed telethon fundraiser that will feature entertainment, comedy, music, and special guest appearances.

The celebration is scheduled for Sept. 27 at the Tybee Post Theater, located at 10 Van Horne Avenue, running from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The complete schedule of events is available below:

  • 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Free admission telethon inside the Tybee Post Theater with live entertainment, guest speakers, presentations and skits. Guests are welcome to come and go.
  • 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Free admission family-friendly lawn party outside of the theater featuring games, activities, food trucks and vendors.
  • 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Ticketed concert featuring a rare performance from the genre-bending band Velvet Caravan. Tickets are $48 and you can purchase them here.
