A man who allegedly fled from police custody was apprehended by the Marion Police Department on Tuesday after an unusual escape during a dental appointment. According to a statement from Marion spokesperson Ken Heath, authorities were alerted to the escape near the Emory & Henry campus on Park Boulevard. The individual, identified as Richard Wilson, was swiftly recaptured by officers following the incident.
