Prosecutors Unveil Shocking Details: Alicia Andrews Accused in Orchestrating Deadly Attack on Rapper Julio Foolio in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Alicia Andrews, a 22-year-old, played a significant role in the tragic events leading to the death of Jacksonville rapper Charles Jones, widely known as Julio Foolio, according to prosecutors.

The prosecution claims that Andrews was instrumental in orchestrating what they termed a “hellish onslaught” that resulted in the rapper’s untimely demise.

During the opening statements, prosecutors laid out a chilling narrative of a premeditated attack. They argued that Andrews, along with several co-conspirators, traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa in June 2024 with lethal intentions.

Prosecutors presented evidence of a text message sent by Andrews on a Friday night, allegedly seeking to reserve an Airbnb in Tampa. This message, they suggested, was the initial step in coordinating the fatal scheme.

Further evidence from investigators included cell phone data, which indicated that Andrews’ phone was active along the route from Jacksonville to Tampa. This data suggested that she, accompanied by her boyfriend, Isaiah Chance, made the 500-mile journey south to Tampa.

“Their cell phones are tracking, hitting towers as they travel in unison all the way down I-75 heading directly into Tampa,” prosecutors said.

Hours before the shooting, Andrews’ phone allegedly left the Airbnb later pinging near the hotel where Foolio was gunned down by four other men.

Then, prosecutors described the deadly scene that followed:

“They moved rapidly into their pre-planned positions, into their firing locations, and then they immediately unleashed a hellish onslaught, a precisely coordinated violence of action, sending a barrage, a wall of hot lead crashing into the only barriers between Charles Jones living and Charles Jones dying.”

Defense attorneys countered that the phone rings and messages don’t prove intent, claiming Andrews was only in Tampa to spend time with her boyfriend, not to help carry out a murder.
