Rain chances increase even more next week.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Tonight
Northeast to east-northeast winds will continue pulling isolated showers inland from the Atlantic this evening and overnight. Many of those showers are expected to weaken before reaching areas west of the Interstate 95 corridor. Coastal communities face a 20% to 30% chance of rain tonight, with lower rain chances farther west. Overnight lows will settle in the mid-70s under partly cloudy skies.
Sunday
Sunday’s weather will closely resemble Saturday’s forecast as an upper-level low remains just west of Central Florida. Counterclockwise circulation around the system will continue funneling moisture northward from the south. That added moisture will help fuel scattered afternoon sea-breeze storms, which should move from east to west. High temperatures are expected to reach around 90ºF.
Next Week
Rain chances will rise further at the start of next week as additional moisture pushes into Central Florida from the south, combining with instability associated with the upper-level low. Forecast models are also suggesting the season’s first fall cold front could arrive by the end of the week. The front is expected to move across Central Florida early Thursday, bringing slightly lower humidity and cooler temperatures from Friday into next weekend.
