SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Authorities arrested a man on Wednesday following a reported stabbing incident, as confirmed by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred in the Bloomingdale area of Kingsport, where deputies were dispatched to a residence on Marietta Street at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a male victim suffering from a stab wound. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, who had reportedly fled the scene on foot.
According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy patrolling the vicinity apprehended 43-year-old Kevin Lee Davis, who matched the suspect’s description.
Davis now faces charges of aggravated assault and is being held in Sullivan County Jail with bond set at $50,000, as of Thursday.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical staff confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening.
The SCSO stated that the investigation remains ongoing.
