SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An AMBER Alert was issued Tuesday as authorities search for a missing eight-year-old girl from Hancock County.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has released a notice at the request of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office for Samantha Shelly, last spotted in Sneedville. The alert notes that the eight-year-old has a medical issue that could hinder her safe return.

She is described as 4’2″ tall, weighing 55 lbs., with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who may have information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office at 423-733-2249 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
